Kollywood Director N Lingusamy scored a flop with his past outing The Warrior starring Ram. However, the director now is in plans to direct a sequel to one of his super-hit films Paiyaa which was released in Telugu as Awara, many years back. However, while ‘Paiyaa’ features Karthi in the lead role, it is heard that Arya will be playing the hero in the sequel.
Now, the latest report suggests that Butta Bomma Pooja Hegde has been approached by the makers to play the female lead in ‘Paiyaa 2’. But Pooja Hegde is yet to respond to the director’s offer, and let’s wait for the makers to confirm the actress’s participation.
There are also reports that Lingusamy earlier thought of approaching late actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor for the female lead for ‘Paiyaa 2’. However, the actress ‘ team denied the report and now it is said Lingusamy changed his mind and approached Pooja Hegde to play the female lead in ‘Paiyaa 2’. Noted that Tamanna played the lead actress role in the first part.
Meanwhile, Pooja is busy with Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s SSMB28 while Arya is currently filming for his film titled ‘Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam’ with director Muthiah. Arya is expected to commence the work for ‘Paiyaa 2’ once he finishes the work for ‘Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam’.
