Nithin’s latest action film, Macherla Niyojakavargam, written and directed by M.S. Rajashekhar Reddy, was released on the big screen on August 12, 2022. Amidst many controversies because of the Director’s comments, the film has bagged disaster. Now, the film is set for its television premiere after a decent OTT run.
As per the reports, the movie will be telecast on the ZEE Telugu channel on February 19, 2023, at 6 PM. The movie is primarily an action movie but also features comedic and enjoyable aspects.
The movie brought almost Rs. 10.24 crores (India and overseas). The film needed roughly Rs. 19 crores in revenue to break even.
Nithiin plays the role of IAS Siddharth Reddy in the film. He gets appointed as district collector of the Guntur district and encounters MLA Rajappa (Samuthirakani), a boisterous local politician. To hold the elections in the Macherla constituency, Siddharth competes against Rajappa. What happens following forms the crux. Music for the film is given by Swara Sagar Mahathi, while Prasad Murella is at the helm of cinematography.
