A “serious kidney infection” has forced British musician Liam Payne to postpone his next tour. The former member of One Direction said in an Instagram post that he had delayed his South American shows after being sent to the hospital.
Payne posted a video message for his supporters and said, “It’s with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that we have no choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America.” The singer said, “I’ve had a significant kidney illness for the past week. It’s something I wouldn’t want on anyone, and the doctor’s orders are that I now need to rest and recuperate.
Payne claimed in the video message that he had been “a little bit unwell recently” and that the tour’s rehearsals were in the middle. The time was scheduled to begin on September 1 in Lima, the capital of Peru. Heb said, “I’ve just been advised that now is really not the time to be out on the road trying to recover from this.” He added, “Once he has recovered, he will return with an “even bigger, better show.”
