Other makers plan to release an IMAX version
‘Salaar’ is one of the highly anticipated films of 2023. Directed by Prashanth Neel starring Rebel star Prabhas is getting ready for the theatrical release on September 28. In between teaser talks, Hombale Films announced having an IMAX release.
The trailer release is expected to be launched in the first week of July and it will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Now the trend is going the same with the makers of Leo, Kalki 2898 AD, and Jawan.
Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is also in plans for the theatrical release in IMAX. Reports say that this upcoming action thriller is planning for Imax for its extraordinary visuals.
A poster showcased Vijay in an aggressive avatar with IMAX written over it. Since then the speculations started over social media. Leo will be the second Tamil film to have an IMAX version after Ponniyin Selvan 2.
The film is part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe slated to release in October also includes Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, and Mansoor Ali Khan. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for this film.
