Nowadays OTT platforms are the new film corridors for film lovers. OTTs are offering movies, web series, and anthologies for cheaper prices to the viewers and the audience doesn’t have to go anywhere; they can simply watch their favorite shows and stars by sitting in their rooms.
Bollywood Male superstars are being attracted by OTT Platforms which offer tremendous production values and huge paychecks. South actors are also very keen to act on OTT platforms. Recently, Amazon announced 29 new web series and films with stars like Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, Sonakshi Sinha, and Manoj Bajpai. While male stars are cashing the opportunities, Bollywood A-list actress Deepika Padukone also made up her mind and gave her nod to act in OTT Films.
Actresses like Vidhya Balan, Shraddha Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma, Tapsee are yet to sign any OTT projects. on the other hand, youngsters like Ananya Pandey and Jahnavi Kapoor took the opportunity and were ready to act in OTT to get worldwide recognition from the audience.
As per the Bombay sources, Jahnavi Kapoor approached a few international platforms like NETFLIX, AMAZON, WARNER BROS, and FOX STUDIOS. Disney plus HOTSTAR are in talks with Jahnavi Kapoor to make a web series with her as a lead. On another hand, Jahnavi Kapoor is cast in Irani’s next film which will be directed by Dharma Production, and also she is doing Dostana 2 under the same banner.
