The controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ is gaining a huge response from the audience. The film is directed by Sudipto Sen and it stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani in the lead roles. The film is about the story of a group of women from Kerala who are converted to Islam and join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The film has been through many controversies since the release of its teaser itself. Even the CM of Kerala has expressed his disappointment regarding it, many have called that there is no truth in the film and that all of it is just propaganda, case was also filed to stop it from releasing. But after its release, the film is doing wonders breaking all the records.
Adah Sharma who played the lead role in the film is gaining appreciation from the audience for playing her role very well. According to the reports, Adah has taken the remuneration of Rs 1 crore for this project. If this is true, then this will be the highest pay she got in her entire career. The budget of the film was est ₹15–20 crore. Till now, it has crossed ₹200 crores.
