Farhan dropped a teaser for Don 3, confirming that Ranveer is playing the new Don. The teaser opened in an apartment against the breathtaking skyline of a city, with Ranveer Singh’s voiceover going, “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab, puchte hai yeh sab. Unse keh do phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir samne jald aane ko.”He wears statement shades, smokes a cigarette, and wields a revolver in typical Don style, thus announcing his arrival as Don.
The makers have now decided to begin the pre-production work. According to reports, Ranveer Singh’s Don 3 team will likely start the film’s pre-production work in March 2024. They have chosen August as the month when the action-thriller will go on floors with a full-fledged shoot schedule. The movie will be initially shot in Mumbai; the makers of Farhan Akhtar’s directorial will then head to Europe for the shoot.
The makers received significant backlash from the audience for casting Ranveer Singh in Shah Rukh Khan’s place. Farhan Akhtar revealed that he and Shah Rukh Khan could not find any common ground and decided to part ways for Don 3.
