Between all the praises and appreciation Adipurush is receiving, there’s also intense controversies and other news surfacing on the flipside. Just today, the movie has released. It’s not even been 12 hours and the movie is already a blockbuster. But everyone thinks differently. India is a secular country with citizens from various religions residing here. We all know Hindus are a majority while others are minorities. However, that doesn’t take away from the freedom of speech that law provides.
Most viewers are happy that Ramayana – an important part of Hinduism is being reenacted by respectable actors like Prabhas and Kriti Sanon alongside the rest of the team. But, there are trollers too who are commenting on the poor VFX and acting skills of the actors.
In Hyderabad, things went a little too ‘south’ – outside the movie theatre, a fan gave a negative review about Adipurush to which another fan didn’t agree. Immediately after, there was a swamp of people surrounding them, recording the verbal argument. He is heard saying the VFX of the film is worse than the PlayStation graphics and Prabhas doesn’t fit in the role of Lord Raghava and his performance is not good at all.
Hearing this, people collectively attacked him with abuses and even started beating him up towards the end. There’s a mix of comments by netizens. Some are appraising them for hitting the guy, while others are clarifying that he’s criticizing the movie team, not Ramayana.
Releasing movies on such sensitive topics are always a matter of great controversy and conflict in the audience. Will superhit movie Adipurush create more chaos than calm?
