Dhanush is currently shooting for his upcoming project, which is tentatively titled D51. He has been working with National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula on the movie. D51 (DNS), the film that marks the combination of Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Sekhar Kammula, got all the attention.
Busy bee Dhanush has just resumed the shoot of his D51 in Hyderabad, and the film’s new schedule will take on for another two weeks. The makers plan to wrap up the shoot for the movie by mid-April, after which Dhanush will quickly move on to the release of Raayan.
According to an inside source close to movie development, the makers plan to title the D51 movie as “Dharavi”. The film is based on the Mafia’s political story. The sources claim that the film was tilted after the slums of Mumbai and is said to be based on actual events centring on Dharavi. However, the team has now confirmed the speculations; hence, an official confirmation awaits.
Owing to Dhanush’s craze, and his teaming up with reliable director Sekhar Kammula, whose films are quite popular amongst the NRIs, and the presence of Nagarjuna as well has to happen ‘national crush’ Rashmika Mandanna, the film rights in the UK distributions sold early.
Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao bankroll the movie. Niketh Bommi cranks the camera work, while Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre handle the production design.
