The film demanded Chandini to perform physically demanding scenes, including running through fields, climbing trees, and working in the scorching sun. She admitted that maintaining her energy levels was a constant battle. Gaami delves into emotional depths, and Chandini has to tap into her emotions to convey Lakshmi’s pain, joy, and resilience. The intense scenes took a toll on her, but she remained committed to delivering an authentic performance.

Chandini said, ”We were shooting for a 40 day schedule. Ofcourse, we have this period problem. And that 5 days were the toughest days in my career. I had to stay whole day without water and using washroom. Generally, we need more water and the urge to pee is more during periods but I had to survive it. Generally, I have painful period due to heavy bloodloss. and Then I still can’t believe I did all that without being able to change my pad and without drinking water and all.

The film’s dialogues are in a regional dialect, and Chandini had to work hard to get the accent right. She immersed herself in the local culture, spending time with villagers to understand their way of speaking.As Lakshmi, Chandini performs daring stunts, adding an action element to the film. Learning fight choreography and executing it convincingly was both thrilling and nerve-wracking.

Despite these hurdles, Chandini’s dedication shines through. She praised the entire team, especially director Krishna Vijay, for their unwavering support. The camaraderie on set helped her overcome the challenges and deliver a memorable performance.
