Gulzar is an India Poet, Lyricist, director, and screenwriter known for his work in Hindi Films.  Gulzar’s original name is Sampooran Singh Kalra. He is regarded as one of the greatest poets of Urdu in this era. Gulzar was born on 18 August 1934 in Dina Pakistan. At the time of Partition, he moved to Mumbai with his family. In his Childhood, he started reading the translations of the works of Rabindranath Tagore which he recounted as one of his life’s many turning points.  He stopped his studies at an early age only and started working at Garage  Vichare Motors in Mumbai.
Let’s examine his musical career because it is his birthday today. He began his musical career in 1963 with SD Burman’s film Bandini. Shailendra and Bimal Roy pushed him to join films during the Progressive Writers Association meeting in 1963. From this point on, he discovered a working environment that was connected to literature in the group he was a part of, including Bimal Roy, whose films were typically based on literary works. Gora Ang Layle was his first lyrical song.
He later stopped looking and received numerous job opportunities. He developed close relationships with numerous music producers, including Rajesh Roshan, Madan Mohan, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, R. D. Burman, and AR Rahman. After receiving recognition for his work in Dil Se, he went on to contribute to a number of amazing movies, including Guru, Slumdog Millionaire, and Lagan. Which has earned him numerous honors, including Grammy and Academy Awards. We wish him a very Happy Birthday and a wonderful year ahead.
