Brahmastra 2 Plans in Full Swing?

Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva didn’t reach the expectations it created ever since the announcement. While the budget was a massive Rs 400 Crores, the collections were said to have stopped a lot before reaching Rs 200 Crores. In general, moviemakers do not intend to go forward with a franchise that has returned financial losses in its first movie itself. However, the Brahmastra franchise seems to be an exception. Even though the first part was just average, the team is readying everything to get their second film of the franchise ready.

According to the B-Town reports, director Ayan Mukherjee is busy right now getting his casting ready. While the first part has Ranbir and Alia in the lead roles, the second part might see Hrithik Roshan as the protagonist, says the sources. There is a possibility to see Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as the lead pair as well. While the first part is about Shiva, the second part would be revolving around Dev who has a different Astra as well. But the deets of that Astra remains a mystery for now. They say that the search for a proper cast will be finished by the end of this year and the shoot may commence as early as possible in the next year, owing to the dates of the star cast. Considering the way Ayan takes his good time to film the scenes, part 2 might see the light either by the end of 2025 or in the first half of 2026. Karan Johar will return as the producer with his Dharma Productions in association with Star Studios. It’s interesting to see which south Indian hero will be roped in for the second part just like King Nagarjuna in the first.
