King Nagarjuna is set to collaborate with Prasanna Kumar Bezawada, the writer of Raviteja’s hit movie Dhamaka, for an upcoming period entertainer. Impressed by the story narrated by Bezawada, Nagarjuna himself asked him to direct the film. The writer recently tasted a big hit Dhamaka and is gearing up for his debut directorial.
According to reports, Nagarjuna has recommended Anupama Parameswaran, a young actress, to play the female lead opposite him, while Raj Tharun is expected to play a crucial role in the film.
However, there are rumours that the upcoming movie is a remake of the Malayalam film Porinju Mariam Jose, a period-based action entertainer starring Joju George.
Sources suggest that Bezawada has made several alterations to the script to fit Nagarjuna’s image. The film will be produced by Srinivasaa Silverscreen banner, and Nagarjuna is eager to make a strong comeback following the disappointing reception of his previous action entertainer, The Ghost.
More details about the film along with a formal announcement is expected to be out soon.
