Tamil actor Suriya is believed to be in talks with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for a mythological period drama based on Mahabharata Character Karna.
One of Kollywood’s most well-known actors is Suriya. A National Award for Best Actor was given to the actor who is currently working on the recurring drama Kanguva for his performance in the film Soorarai Pottru. After becoming well known the South Asian film business, the actor is now prepared for a career in Bollywood. According to recent rumours, Suriya would star as Karna in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming movie. With the story of Karna, the director hopes to recreate a section of Mahabharat.
Superstar of Tamil Cinema Suriya has expressed interest in working on the film alongside Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. He is eager to take on the role of Karna, a character from the Mahabharata who was the son of the god Surya and the princess Kunti. According to rumours, Suriya and the ambitious project’s director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra are in talks. The director has allegedly been working on his ideal project for some time, according to the insider. To play this complex character, he was trying to cast an established actor.
The mythological drama is reported to be a two-part film. The filmmaker and the producer of the movie believe that the film has the potential to be a game changer in India considering that no film has been attempted on such a complex protagonist to date. The source added, “Character traits warranted a great actor who can slip from one zone to the other, and who better than Suriya to do the same.”
Advance negotiations between Suriya and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra are apparently progressing well. Suriya will portray one of the most complicated characters of his career in the historical drama Karna, which is set in the Mahabharata era. The film is a pan-Indian endeavour that will reportedly have several language releases. Suriya’s debut Bollywood film, as well as his first endeavour with the Rang De Basanti director, if everything goes well, will be this one.
Suriya is currently hard at work filming his upcoming movie Kanguva, which also stars Disha Patani. He reportedly appears in a cameo in the English-language version of his Tamil film Soorarai Pottru. Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan will be the main stars of the Hindi adaptation.
