Mumbai Police Make Breakthrough in Salman Khan Firing Case

In a significant development regarding the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence, Mumbai Police have made notable progress in the case. Recent reports reveal that two individuals from Punjab have been apprehended in connection with the incident, shedding light on the complexities surrounding the investigation.

According to Mumbai Police, the arrested individuals, identified as Subhash Chander, 37, and Anuj Thapan, 32, have been linked to an infamous gangster and were responsible for supplying weapons to the shooters involved in the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house on April 14. Investigations indicate that the duo provided a pistol and cartridges to the shooters on March 15, deepening the mystery surrounding the incident.

Simultaneously, the custody of the accused shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal from Gujarat, has been extended following their arrest. Mumbai’s Esplanade Court granted the Mumbai Crime Branch custody of Gupta and Pal until April 29, further facilitating the ongoing investigation into the case.

Video footage shared by news agency ANI captured the accused exiting the court premises with their faces concealed, emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the meticulousness of the legal proceedings.

In a recent breakthrough, authorities recovered a gun and live cartridges used in the firing from the Tapi River in Gujarat’s Surat city. The recovery marks a crucial development in the investigation, reaffirming law enforcement’s commitment to uncovering the truth behind the incident.

During interrogation, the arrested individuals confessed to disposing of the weapon in the Tapi River from a railway bridge while fleeing to Bhuj on a train. It was also revealed that the gun was supplied to the shooters mere hours before the incident, underscoring the premeditated nature of the crime.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have declared Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi wanted in connection with the case, further expanding the scope of the investigation.

Amidst the ongoing probe, Salman Khan recently made a public appearance at the grand special screening event of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming web show, “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” demonstrating resilience and composure in the face of adversity.
