Rani Mukherjee after many years returns to the big screen with the film ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’. The film was released on March 17 this year and the film before the release itself has generated a lot of buzz as the film is based on the real-life story of an Indian woman defiantly standing up to the Norwegian government to reunite with her children
It is the story of a mother whose kids are taken away from her in Norway and her fight to get their custody back.
On the show, Kareena asked Rani if she thought of her daughter Adira while performing the part, and Rani, without missing a beat, said, “Not at all Bebo.” Rani continued, “The story is so painful that I couldn’t place myself in her shoes. So I channeled my energy through my mother. I just wondered what my mother would do if somebody took me and Raja away from her.”
Rani also added that she would “go mental” if something like this happened to her. For the unversed, Rani is married to YRF head Aditya Chopra. The couple welcomed their daughter Adira in 2015.
