Blue became one of the memorable colours of Janhvi Kapoor’s Devara promotional wardrobe in September 2024. This look paired a shimmering blouse with a flared, graduated-blue silhouette and a lighter drape. Here, we revisit the balance of colour, sparkle and traditional styling through an illustrated fashion gallery.
Blue in layers
The interest comes from the shift between darker and lighter blues. A flared lower half gives the outfit movement, while the drape creates a diagonal line across the torso. The half-sari arrangement lets the blouse remain visible and gives each layer a distinct role in the overall shape.

A closer look at the finish
Contemporary coverage highlighted the glittering fabric, contrasting blue blouse and silver-toned accessories. In our interpretation, a softly coloured drape sits against a more detailed blouse, keeping the surface from becoming uniformly shiny. The difference between those textures is worth looking at as closely as the colour.

Jewellery and hair
A simple braid and silver jewellery keep the styling connected to the outfit’s cool palette. For a similar balance, choose one area for the strongest embellishment and leave the remaining layers quieter. A small earring can still register clearly when the hair is pulled away from the face.
