Gullak Season 4 beats Heeramandi On OTT

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Heeramandi” may still be making headlines, but this week, it was “Gullak” Season 4 that captured viewers’ hearts, earning the title of the second most-loved OTT original of the week.

Despite this, “Panchayat” Season 3 continues to dominate, taking the top spot from June 7-13. Additionally, “Mirzapur” Season 3 and “The Boys” Season 4 have secured high rankings in the latest Ormax Media list. The trailer for “Kota Factory” Season 3 has also propelled it into the top 10.

“Gullak” Season 4: A Beloved Return

The fourth season of “Gullak” brought back familiar faces like Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, and Harsh Mayar in lead roles. Despite some changes, the show maintained its charm and quickly became a fan favorite. In the rankings, “Gullak” secured the second spot, just behind Jitendra Kumar’s “Panchayat” Season 3. This means “Gullak” managed to surpass Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Heeramandi,” which was pushed to third place this week.

“The Boys” and “House of the Dragon” Make the List

“The Boys” Season 4 has clinched the fifth position in the latest rankings, while the eagerly awaited “House of the Dragon” Season 2, set to release tomorrow, is at the ninth spot. Other notable entries include “Legend of Hanuman” Season 4, “Gunaah,” and Vikrant Massey’s “Blackout,” occupying the sixth, eighth, and tenth spots, respectively.

Upcoming Releases Stir Excitement

While Prime Video and Netflix only released trailers for “Mirzapur” Season 3 and “Kota Factory” Season 3, this was enough to secure them positions on the list. “Mirzapur” Season 3 is currently in fourth place, with “Kota Factory” Season 3 in seventh.

“Kota Factory” Season 3 is set for release on June 20. Given its popularity, this could significantly shift next week’s rankings. Additionally, Anurag Kashyap and Gulshan Devaiah’s “Bad Cop” will debut on June 21. The promising nature of the series has generated significant interest, making its future ranking a point of speculation.

Among upcoming OTT original films, Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, is poised to make his acting debut with “Maharaj.” Initially set to release on Netflix this week, the film’s premiere has been delayed due to a stay order. The revised release date is expected to be June 19. Co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat, the film’s debut is eagerly awaited and is expected to make a notable impact on the rankings.

With numerous high-profile releases and much-anticipated shows, the upcoming week promises to be intriguing. Viewers are keenly awaiting the impact these new entries will have on the current rankings, as beloved series like “Kota Factory” and promising newcomers like “Bad Cop” and “Maharaj” prepare to make their mark.
