The political drama follows the life and tenure of PM Indira Gandhi which has been stuck with the CBFC for months leading to a delay in its release as well.

Kangana Ranaut Changes
Kangana Ranaut’s directorial biographical political drama film was set to release on September 6 but had to be postponed after it failed to receive the Central Board of Film Chamber’s certification. On September 30, the makers of Emergency agreed to the changes suggested by the revising committee of the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Bombay HC hearing on the film ‘Emergency’ Production company Zee Studio’s representative r told Bombay HC that they have agreed to the suggested changes by the Revising Committee and they have submitted a format for the implementation of the changes suggested by the CBFC. The censor Board of Film Certification will respond to this format and the next hearing on the matter is kept on Thursday, 3rd October. The final decision will be out on Thursday.

Kangana’s upcoming movie Emergency is scheduled to release on 6th September this year. The movie is delayed as it was stuck with the censor board. The Sikh community has opposed the movie releases, assuming the community will be protrayed in a negative way.
