South Superstar Rajinikanth
South Superstar Rajinikanth , the 73 year old actor, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai on September 30.
It is reported that Apollo Hospitals doctors detected swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart and was treated by a non-surgical procedure on Tuesday morning, and his condition is stable.
In an official statement the Apollo Hospitals Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish stated, “We would like to let his well-wishers and fans know that the procedure went, as planned. Rajinikanth is stable and is doing well. He should be home in two days,” Dr R K Venkatasalam, Director, Medical Services.

In a career spanning over five decades, he has done 170 films that includes films in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam.
Superstar was honoured him with Padma Bhushan in 2000, Padma Vibhushan in 2016, India’s third and second highest civilian honours, and the highest award in the field of cinema Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the 67th National Film Awards ceremony (2019) for his contributions to Indian cinema.

Vettaiyan
Superstar is gearing up for the release of his much anticipated 170th film Vettaiyan directed by T. J. Gnanavel as the film is slated for worldwide released in theatres in 10 October of 2024.
He will be playing a police officer alongside Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan.
Thalaivar 171
In a recent interview ,Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed the rumors of his collaboration with Rajinikanth and also disclosed that the principal photography of the film is scheduled to begin either in the last week of March 2024 or in early April 2024.
Thalaivar 171 is reportedly a standalone film and not a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, as confirmed by Kanagaraj.
